KEEP THE “CHI” FLOWING

Sunday, July 18, 2010 posted by mimiclayton 6:52 pm

Wow! What an eventful and transitional few months for all of us!! I’m officially moved and many fun Sustainable Music and Art Festivals have occurred and also are in the forecast. For those of you who have had new opportunities and change, remember to breathe and flow with the journey.

We want to extend our appreciation to those that have supported, collaborated and visited us at our past and future events. We had a wonderful turnout, great times and success at the Local First Mingle, the Creative Expo, Chicago Green Festival, Summer Camp, Bonnaroo and Green Music Fest. It was both educational and a blast!

Come to the Devon Uncommon Ground on Friday evenings from 4pm-8pm for great business, music, drinks, food and chair massage. Yours truly will be participating with Mimi’s Organic Exchange and Transformations Massage.  Stop by to say “hello” and simply enjoy the evening. More details to follow.

Anyone interested in a Shamanic Arts Workshop, please contact John Sacelli 773.761.0252 salynx@yahoo.comor Mimi Clayton 773.991.3835 info@mimisorganicexchange.com We are excited to host another workshop later in August and hope you can join for this original evening. For more info on the past event, visithttp://mimisorganicexchange.com/category/events/

We look forward to continuing the journey of new beginnings, friendships and connections. We expect to raise the vibration and bring more educational tools to the forefront this year. Please continue to follow us and learn more.  Peace, Conscious Unity and Co-Creation for the Future. Mimi and the MOE Team.

Living Room Gallery and Mimi’s Organic(MOE) will be participating again in RAW 2010. We are teaming up with Metropolitan Brewing. Ride the trolley, walk or bike and enjoy Art, Beer and More at 5121 N. Ravenswood.

“Craft beer drinkers are caught up in a delicious whirlwind of flavors, aromas, and raise-the-bar-push-the-envelope beer styles offered by American craft brewers. We at Metropolitan would like to invite a little balance to the party. The smooth, mellow flavors and dry finish of German lagers are the foundation of Metropolitan’s beers. Of course, we can’t help but twist things up in our own way.

Toasty malts, spicy hops, and a ferocious DIY ethic motivate us to brew beer. Wait no longer. Drink one now. If you feel as inspired as we do, let us know. “

Keep an eye out for details of the environmentally and sustainable exhibit. For more info about the businesses, visit www.mimisorganicexchange.com or www.metrobrewing.com

He has shown in many galleries in Chicago, including Struve Gallery, Eva Cohen Gallery, Ann Nathan Gallery, Lydon FineArt, and Perimeter Gallery. More recently he started a new series of paintings (some very large) reflecting the storms of his life; big crushing waves and surf. His paintings are started with very small sketches. He then paints small oil studies and finishes with a large piece. He always allows himself the possibility of changing anything while he is working on the final painting. He does not want to simply copy the studies.
